1. Acceptance and service status
By using PDFit.pro or its current APIs, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service. PDFit's focused core tools and Workspace editor are released for general use. Features explicitly labeled Preview, including OCR and PDF to Excel, may change as they are tested and improved.
2. Your documents and authority
You retain your rights in documents and other content you submit. You grant PDFit only the limited permission needed to receive, process, temporarily store, transmit, and delete that content to provide the requested operation.
You represent that you have the legal right and necessary permission to process the document. Do not use Protect, Unlock, signature, form, OCR, AI, extraction, or conversion features to bypass rights, access controls, confidentiality duties, or applicable law.
3. Acceptable use
You must not use PDFit to:
- process or distribute unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, or malicious material;
- upload malware, exploit files, or content intended to harm the service or another person;
- probe, bypass, or defeat authentication, limits, result protection, isolation, or rate controls;
- access another user's job, result, account, tenant, or data;
- automate requests in a way that degrades service or violates an API limit;
- publish spam, harassment, impersonation, phishing, malicious links, private documents, credentials, access tokens, or another person's sensitive data in Community;
- misrepresent generated, translated, signed, reviewed, or extracted output as independently verified.
4. Processing, downloads, and deletion
Files may be temporarily stored to complete an operation. You are responsible for downloading and safely storing the result before it expires. A successful technical operation does not guarantee that layout, accessibility, legal effect, signature validity, OCR text, AI analysis, or every document feature is preserved.
5. API and access tokens
Job identifiers and bearer access tokens protect status and result access. Keep tokens secret, send them only in the documented Authorization header, and delete or rotate credentials if exposure is suspected. You are responsible for applications and infrastructure that use the API on your behalf.
6. Accounts, plans, and payments
Registration is optional for current basic tools. If you create an account, you must provide accurate information, protect your login and password, use two-factor authentication when available and appropriate, and notify PDFit if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
The Dashboard and History provide account activity and a private document library for signed-in Workspace use. Anonymous tools and anonymous Workspace sessions remain temporary. Saved documents may be moved to Trash and restored during the displayed 30-day retention period; after that period, permanent deletion may occur automatically.
During the current beta, a free account may complete up to 20 successful processing tasks per UTC day and generated PDF results may include a small PDFit.pro mark. Beta Clean Pass costs $4.99 USD before applicable tax and removes that mark for 365 days without changing the daily limit. Unlimited Annual costs $19 USD before applicable tax, removes the daily processing limit and includes clean exports for 365 days. Both are verified one-time payments, never renew automatically, and require no cancellation.
Unlimited Annual removes the account-level daily count, not technical safety controls. File-size, page, storage, queue, concurrency, timeout, security, abuse-prevention, and reasonable fair-use limits continue to apply to every option.
If you believe a payment was duplicated, unauthorized, or the purchased clean-export access was not delivered, contact Support promptly. Refunds and remedies are handled consistently with these Terms and rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. A roadmap description is not a promise that a feature is included in a future plan.
7. Community content and moderation
Community is a public feedback area, not private support or document storage. You retain your rights in what you publish and grant PDFit a non-exclusive permission to host, display, reproduce, format, and moderate it as needed to operate Community. Post only material you are authorized to share and never include a document, credential, secret, access token, or unnecessary personal information.
PDFit may label, reclassify, archive, decline, or remove posts; review and resolve reports; restrict abusive accounts; and preserve moderation records when reasonably needed for safety, legal compliance, or dispute handling. Reports must be made in good faith. Votes and status labels inform product planning but do not promise implementation, priority, or a release date. Submit moderation questions through the protected contact form.
8. Third-party and connected services
Stripe hosts paid beta checkout and processes payment details under its own terms and privacy practices; PDFit does not receive or store full card details. Future Connected, OCR, AI, translation, backup, email, integration, or marketplace features may rely on other third parties. Their additional terms and data handling may apply when you choose those features.
9. Availability and changes
PDFit may modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue preview functionality to address security, abuse, capacity, legal, or product requirements. Reasonable efforts are made to keep released tools dependable, but no uptime commitment or service-level agreement applies unless a separate written plan says otherwise.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the preview is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. PDFit is not legal, financial, medical, compliance, archival, or professional advice. OCR, AI, translation, comparison, extraction, and document transformations may be incomplete or inaccurate and require human review.
11. Responsibility and liability
You are responsible for source backups, authorization, input accuracy, reviewing outputs, and deciding whether the service is appropriate for a document's sensitivity and intended use. Liability limitations and any governing-law terms for paid or enterprise service will be disclosed in the applicable commercial agreement and remain subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted or terminated for security risk, abuse, unlawful use, repeated limit evasion, harm to other users, or material breach of these Terms. Where practical and safe, persistent users will receive information about the restriction and available appeal or data-export options.
13. Changes and contact
Updated Terms will show a new effective date. Material product-facing changes will be described through the Changelog when appropriate. Submit questions through the protected contact form. Do not include confidential documents, passwords, API keys, or access tokens.
